How many have moved in and out of Vingåker so far in 2026
More moved out than in
According to Statistics Sweden, 143 people moved to Vingåker during the first four months of 2026, while 157 moved out.
That gives Vingåker a net migration of minus 14 people so far this year.
First negative – then positive in April
January, February and March were negative. April, however, turned positive: 45 people moved in and 33 moved out, a monthly net of plus 12.
One month is not enough to call it a trend. In a small municipality, a few families moving in or out can be visible in the statistics. But April is still a positive note after a weaker start to the year.
Family-forming ages stand out
Looking at the full year 2025, 498 people moved into Vingåker and 548 moved out, according to age-grouped migration figures from Statistics Sweden. That gave a net migration of minus 50.
There was still a positive signal: the 30–39 age group showed a surplus. 79 people moved in and 73 moved out. This is an age when many form families, buy homes or look for more space.
That makes the group especially interesting for Vingåker. If the municipality can attract and keep more people in family-forming ages, it can matter for housing, childcare, schools and local associations.
Young adults more often move on
The clearest negative figures in 2025 were among 10–19-year-olds and 20–29-year-olds, ages where studies, school choices and first jobs often affect migration.
The 50–59 and 60–69 age groups also showed positive net migration in 2025.
How to read the figures
Statistics Sweden uses disclosure control from 2025 onwards, so totals and subtotals can differ slightly.
The next monthly update is expected when Statistics Sweden publishes new population figures for spring and early summer.
