During January–May 2026, 38 passenger cars were newly registered in Vingåker municipality, according to Statistics Sweden data from Transport Analysis.
Electric cars and plug-in hybrids accounted for 21 of the registrations, or 55.3 percent.
Because the counts are small, Vingåkersnytt sums the first five months of 2026 rather than drawing conclusions from a single month.
Electric and plug-in hybrid on top
Electric cars were the largest category with 11 cars, followed by plug-in hybrids with 10 and petrol with 8.
Diesel and hybrid accounted for 4 cars each. Ethanol/flexifuel accounted for 1 car.
Petrol and diesel together accounted for 12 of 38 new passenger cars.
