In March 2026, 275 Vingåker residents aged 16–64 were unemployed, according to Statistics Sweden’s latest preliminary monthly labour market status data.
That corresponds to an unemployment rate of 7.3 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from February 2026.
Compared with March 2025, the unemployment rate was 0.1 percentage points higher, while the number of unemployed people was unchanged.
3,514 employed residents
At the same time, 3,514 residents aged 16–64 were employed in March 2026.
The employment rate was 74.2 percent in March 2026.
The figures point to small movements rather than a clear break in trend.
Workplaces in the municipality
A complementary workplace-based measure shows 2,654 employed people linked to workplaces in Vingåker in March 2026.
That measure should be read carefully: workplace location is not the same as where people physically work every day.
