In 2025, Vingåker municipality had 844 families with children aged 0–17 living at home, according to Statistics Sweden’s latest family statistics.

The figure shows part of everyday life behind population statistics: school, childcare, leisure activities, housing and family logistics.

Nuclear families most common

The most common family type was the nuclear family, with 535 families in 2025.

There were also 108 reconstituted families, 128 families with a single mother, 56 with a single father and 17 other families.

On average, the families had 1.9 children aged 0–17 living at home.

976 families when young people up to 21 are included

When Statistics Sweden widens the age group to children and young people aged 0–21 living at home, the number of families is 976.

For Vingåker, this matters for schools, associations, playgrounds, housing and transport.
